Ashley Michelle Tisdale [born July 2nd 1985 in Monmouth County, New Jersey] is an American actress and pop singer. After appearing in several television roles during the late 1990s and early 2000s, she became known to young audiences for playing Maddie Fitzpatrick on the Disney Channel Original Series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Sharpay Evans in High School Musical, High School Musical 2 and will reprise her role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, due for release in October 2008. Tisdale is currently voicing Candace in the Disney Channel original series Phineas and Ferb. Tisdale is also pursuing a solo music career with the release of her debut album \'Headstrong\'.

\'Headstrong\' is the debut album by Ashley Tisdale. The album was released on February 6th 2007 in the United States via Warner Bros. Records, debuting at No.5 on the Billboard 200 and selling 64,000 copies in the first week. The album was certified Gold in the U.S. with 500,000 copies shipped. The album has sold more than 720,000 copies worldwide. The album was nominated as No.6 on \"Album of The Year\" by Billboard Readers\' Choice.
